Anderson Cove

On Saturday June 1st, we fed dinner to two sister missionaries in our stake.  One was from Hungary and the other from Virginia.  We made chicken, baked potatoes, corn on the cob, and brownies for them.  Dad had to plan a high priest social party at the church bowery on the next Saturday, since he is high priest group leader.  Mom and I made  peanut butter fingers for a dessert for them to take to the party.  We were glad that we made them, cause that was the only dessert at the party.  I also made fudge on Sunday for our camping trip.

We went to the Wedding Reception of Friday in Bountiful at the Eldredge Manor.  Our former next door neighbor, Brittany got married.  She gave out jars of clover honey as a souvenir.  She got married the next day.  It was nice to catch up with her and her parents and brothers.

On Monday, Mom had to go get an iron IV infusion in Ogden for four hours.  After they came home, we drove to Anderson Cove.  We were in spot 47, which was close to spot 55 we were in last time.  I read the book, Lover's Dictionary by David Levithan.  We watched the movie, Bambi II.  Dad cooked hamburgers for dinner and started a fire and made us smores for dessert.

On Tuesday,  Dad made us french toast for breakfast.  I read the book, Dash and Lily's Book of Dares by Rachel Cohn &  David Levithan.  Dad tried to put the cats out in their cat tent, next to the trailer, but they were too scared and meowed the whole time.    We took a drive up to Causey Estates to see the dam.  Dad cooked us hot dogs for lunch.  Then we packed up the cats and Dad drove us home, and then he drove back up there for another night.

On Wednesday, Dad came home. He brought home leftover dutch oven cherry cobbler and cheesy bacon potatoes.

On Thursday, Mom had to go get a second iron IV infusion in Ogden for five hours.

Pinecones

Mom had me collect a bunch of pine cones while we were up in Lake Tahoe.  She had Dad and I make a wreath out of them.  I looked up a bunch on Pinterest to see how they were made.

For the Wreath, we bought a metal base.  Dad cut floral wire and wrapped them around the cones, attaching them to the base, two strips for each pine cone.  I hot glued ribbon around the back of the metal base, so the wreath wouldn't scratch the door.  Dad tied a thick thread to hang the wreath on the door hanger.  I sprayed the cones with red glitter spray.

For the Ornaments. I hot glued ribbon to the top of the pine cone to create a loop so we can hang them on the tree.  Then I sprayed the cones with red glitter spray.

We had another one at the Castle for Markie, the daughter of my Dad's cousin Wendy.  Sara's brother, Stephen got married on Friday as well, but that wedding was in St. George, so we just sent a gift card.
